Gann Academy serves more than 350 students from over 35 communities across the full spectrum of Jewish observance.

Gann Academy is seeking a full-time English teacher for leave coverage from March 25 to June 14Teaching responsibilities will include planning and delivering lessons for three sections of 11th-grade English: American Literature.

Teachers are required to:

  • Assess student work and provide grades
  • Take attendance and manage the classroom
  • Offer differentiated instruction to serve a wide range of learners
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and adapt curriculum and lessons that support student growth
  • Use technology and other educational tools to support student learning
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with students, parents, and colleagues in person and via email

50-minute classes are on a rotating schedule from 8:30 to 3:55 Monday through Thursday, with an earlier 1:50 release on Fridays. School is in recess for Passover Break from April 22 to April 30.

The total pay for this leave coverage position is $15,000.
